Hi,
The best way to identify all required plugins for Sales and Order Management (SOM) is to follow the official SOM configuration documentation. The plugin requirements are listed there, but they’re spread across different sections such as Order Management, Product Catalog, CPQ, and Customer Service Management, so you’ll need to review each section carefully to capture the full set of dependencies.
From reviewing the documentation, SOM typically involves installing Order Management, Order Operations Case Management, Product Catalog Management (including Core and Portal), Product Inventory Advanced, Customer Service Management, CPQ (Configurator and Integration), Contract Management for SOM, Customer Contracts and Entitlements, Product and Pricing Rules, Sales Agreement Management, and the related Sales applications like Opportunity, Quote, Forecasting, Quota, Lead Management, and Engagement Sequences.

Hi @ShaziyaS1041050,
If you’re setting up SOM (Service Operations Management) in your PDI, you’ll need to activate a few important plugins. The exact ones depend on what part of SOM you’re working on, but here are the core ones you should focus on:
First, install Event Management—this is the backbone of SOM. It handles event ingestion, alert creation, and correlation.
Next, activate Discovery—this helps you automatically discover servers, applications, and devices and populate the CMDB.
Then, enable Service Mapping—this allows you to map business services and understand how different components are connected.
Also, make sure CMDB is active (it usually is by default), since SOM heavily depends on CI relationships.
And finally, don’t forget about the MID Server. It’s not just a plugin—you need to install and configure it separately for Discovery and Event collection to work properly.
If you’re preparing for a specific certification like CIS-Event Management or CIS-Discovery, let me know—I can guide you more precisely.
If you find my answer useful, please mark it as Helpful and Correct. 😊
