Hello everyone,
I am a beginner in TSM can anyone help me out in understanding do we need to have consumer(who use servcenow) and provider(who use servicenow) instances only or any platform can work?
As we have service bridge to connect two instances is it restricted to only servicenow instances?

I interpreted your question as when using Service Bridge (that comes as part of TSM) - do both the Consumer and Provider needs to have TSM subscription installed?

If this is what you meant to ask, then only the Provider needs the TSM installed. The Consumer ServiceNow instance needs to be on active SKU of some sort (does not have to be TSM).

 

Additional Edit: The ServiceBridge capability is ServiceNow platform specific, as such both the Provider and Consumer needs to be on the ServiceNow platform.

I am trying to delete the remote task definitions which are created but not able to nor able to inactivate them.Need help.

In TSM (Telecom Service Management), it is not mandatory to have both the consumer and provider running only on ServiceNow instances. While ServiceNow is commonly used because of its strong workflow, automation, and integration capabilities, other platforms can also work as long as they can integrate properly.

 

The Service Bridge is designed to connect a ServiceNow instance with external systems, not just another ServiceNow instance. This means a consumer using ServiceNow can integrate with a provider running a different platform, provided APIs, web services, or supported connectors are available. It is not restricted exclusively to ServiceNow-to-ServiceNow communication.

 

What matters most is that both sides can exchange data securely and consistently, regardless of the underlying platform.
