When we moved to San Diego, I found a great article from Mark on how to change the close icon. We upgraded to Utah and it seems things have changed again.
This is what the icon looks like now for users to close the chat window. How do I get this to an X again??
I have users asking VA how to close the chat window now.

Even if you are using the out-of-the-box Virtual Agent Service Portal widget, you won't get the most recent changes introduced with for example Utah and Vancouver. Those changes will have effect when using Agent Chat configuration.
Definetly if you are using the out-of-the-box Service Portal widget (and not a cloned and edited version), switching from the legacy Service Portal Virtual Agent widget to Agent Chat configuration, should only be a task of a few minutes, oke maybe an hour if doing that for the first time, though that's it.
When having done that, and wanting to update the icons or color:

unfortunately, we use a custom portal that is in the works to using OOB esc portal.
When I go to esc portal the minimize icon looks like this
With the CSS code I used, after Utah upgrade, it looks like this
If you have any suggestions to get this either a minus sign or an X I would greatly appreciate it.
I am guessing we are using the Legacy VA? since we have had this for over 2 years. I would rather get this more to OOB so I do not have these issues with upgrades.

Oke is there any issue for you to start moving from legacy Service Portal widget to Agent Chat configuration (it doesn't matter if it's a custom portal or SP or EC)? Did you clone and edit the widget for example or is still the out-of-the-box widget, which is just legacy now?
Agent Chat configuration has more configurable options. Also replacing the icon is easier and robust.
