Question: Cases created with the Reservation Management

Hello Everyone,

I would like to ask if anyone configured the extra services within Reservation Management.

Currently, If someone books the space with extra services it is creating two workplace cases.

1. For the Services, with the requested services information in related list.

2. For the Reservation Case.

I am trying to understand why the Reservation case is created. Only the Service case should do.

Do we have any specific reason for reservation case? How do we use it? Can we avoid creating reservation case.

I have tried deactivating the workplace service for reservation case, but still it is creating. After analysing I found that somehow the sub flow is creating the reservation case.

Ideas are welcome 🙂

Hi Raj,

The case created with short description "Reservation case" is the parent for all extra services selected for a reservation. An additional case is created for each extra service - so there would be 3 additional cases if 3 extra services are selected.

It's simply just a parent record for consolidating all extra services expected with a reservation. Hope this helps..

Best,

Connor

Hi @connorlyons

Which means, this case is used to collect the extra services and link to one parent which is reservation case. The idea behind is only to have mapping of all the extra services is it?

@Raj_Esh

That and it also provides a high-level view of what services need to be delivered for a reservation. The services could be delivered by various functions in the organization, so I do find the record structure to be useful/helpful.

Best,

Connor

Hi @connorlyons

Thank you for the details. Currently, I don't see any extra services details in Reservation case. Can you help me with the link or the steps how you have configured and how it looks the reservation case?
