Space Occupancy - WSD Space Records

Hoping someone has come across this question when implementing WSD and has found a potential solution OOTB.

Taking a look at Space Assist OOTB Space Recommender Rules, I noticed that there is not a rule that takes a look at if a user has that space set as their primary location. Therefore, spaces are being recommended to users via the Space Assist RP that another employee already is sitting in.

Is there a field on the space record that shows if a user already has that space as their primary location? I did notice a field occupancy_status, but this is not getting populated for any space records.

This is impacting us for both Space Assist requests AND for move requests. As for move, a user can move into a space that is already allocated to another employee.

Hello Madison, appreciate your feedback. We are shipping  Space Recommendations Ruleset as a framework-based solution with sample rules. Customers are encouraged to create condition/script-based rules tailored to their specific requirements. Please note that we don't provide OOTB rules for all space qualifications. However, customer have the option to create a script-based rule to exclude spaces with an active Workplace Profile primary record or automatically populate the "occupancy_status" field (manual in OOTB) in the space table through a background job. This field value can then be leveraged to create a condition-based rule to identify spaces qualifying for recommendations.
