Workplace/Indoor Mapping Roles definitions

After installing Workplace using Indoor Mapping, and all of the scopes that go along with that, I have the understanding of "Space Mapping" versus "Indoor Mapping", but I cannot find any clear documentation on what roles are required for what activities.   Normally this is included in the application docs, but most of the WSD useful information is in community, but I have not found what I need in either.

I've given our Facilities team (who is uploading and managing the maps) :

  • sn_wsd_core.admin  (includes access to see case task numbers) and contains sn_wsd_space_map.admin (workplace)
  • sn_map_core.map_admin (Indoor mapping/map studio)

But I don't want to continue to grant admin level roles unless I need to (maybe that's just an aggregate name in these applications, but its red flag for anyone that has been using Service Now for multiple years).

Specifically, what I need to know is what role is required to:

  • work on cases (workplace or move)
  • submit and view those requests (sn_wsd_case_writer?).  (i.e., I will need to set up a user criteria to block from those without the proper role).
  • View a "space" map (i.e., use the location directory content item).

Obviously, this also ties into being compliant with our licensing agreement, so any help would be appreciated.
