ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW), the company that makes work, work better for people, today announced the general availability of the Now Platform® New York release, which extends new desktop and native mobile capabilities across the workplace at scale, enabling companies to make their employees’ lives at work as simple, easy and mobile-friendly as our real lives. The New York release of the Now Platform includes more than 650 new innovations across IT, employee and customer workflows. And, for the first time on mobile, we’ve removed the friction to create a consumer-like experience for everyday work tasks to accelerate organizations’ digital transformation efforts.
Here’s a peek at some of the innovations ServiceNow has created so work can finally be as great as real life:
Streamlining workflows across the enterprise
With ServiceNow’s IT workflows, nearly 75% of Fortune 500 companies have transformed the impact, speed and delivery of IT across their organizations. As part of the new capabilities in the New York release, customers will now be able to manage services more effectively from a single platform, including Vendor Manager Workspace, Service Owner Workspace, Operator Workspace and SaaS License Management. Additionally, with the new Guided App Creator, everyone can quickly build a workflow app with no-code by using ServiceNow’s new and improved user experience.
The Now Platform also extends the power of mobile to IT operations with IT Operations Management (ITOM) Health, which gives agents a simple interface to monitor and improve ITOM health on the go, allowing them to improve operational responsiveness and reduce the time to resolution.
ServiceNow is also continuing to leverage technology like natural language understanding (NLU), which is integrated into ServiceNow’s Virtual Agent. With NLU, employees can interact with Virtual Agent by using simple human terms to quickly find answers, order items or get help for common problems — all without having to contact the service desk.
Providing efficiency for finance
ServiceNow’s new Finance Operations Management (FOM) product extends workflows further into the enterprise. The first FOM application, ServiceNow® Finance Close Automation (FCA), complements enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. FCA is created for CFOs and their teams to digitize workflows across the monthly, quarterly and annual finance close process, helping to reduce risk, increase team satisfaction and accelerate the overall financial close process. Out-of-the-box FCA will integrate with both Oracle and SAP’s ERP systems.
Enhancing customer service with proactivity
With ServiceNow’s customer workflows, organizations can elevate their customer service by resolving issues end-to-end. The new Proactive Customer Service Operations capabilities allow companies to automatically respond to events or alerts for products and services, clearly see which customers are impacted by the events, and proactively create cases and notify impacted customers. ServiceNow is also introducing third-party integration for Agent Workspace, which reduces swivel chair interface for agents to enhance efficiency and customer service. The company also enhanced its omni-channel capabilities with Virtual Agent and NLU so customers can get answers and easily make requests. Field Service Management advancements include new mapping and optimization for dispatching and geo-location and enhanced work order capabilities for mobile.
Bringing Mobile to Life for the Workplace with Now Mobile and Mobile Onboarding
ServiceNow removes friction from everyday work and for the first time on native mobile and creates consumer-like experiences with the introduction of two new mobile apps, Now Mobile and ServiceNow Onboarding. Now employees can find answers and get stuff done across IT, HR, facilities, finance, legal and other departments, all from a modern mobile app powered by the Now Platform.
