Is there any direct relationship between Business Service and Configuration items?

How is CIs realted to Business Services (above link says create CI's that support the Business Service). Is there any reference or CI relationship?

Hi Suggy,

Short answer --> No there are not.
Services Offerings related to the real solution and have a parent service. 
Most of the Service Offerings will be related to Application Service (still a logical record). For some solutions (non applications) you might link an offering direct to a CI but that is fairly uncommon imo.

BS --> SO --> AS --> CI ......this is what I knew, but just wanted a clarification. That official doc line was confusing/misleading though for a new comer atleast 🙂
