Good morning,
There is a global message in the incidents when the assigned group is not correct, and "Invalid Reference" appears. We would like to replace it with another message, but we are unsure if the two messages might collide and what the best way to do it is. I appreciate any guidance.
Best regards.

I don't think you can customize it.
I didn't find it in UI -> Messages table
If my response helped please mark it correct and close the thread so that it benefits future readers.

Hello @Maria Sol Arauz
If you are not able to find record in "sys_ui_message" table for the same, you can create it, but it will be a "global" change and it will start reflecting everywhere this "invalid reference" message occurs.
Please follow the below steps
1. Navigate to System UI->Message and search for key "Invalid reference": If no record is found then create a record with key Invalid reference and message with the one you want to display.
NOTE: Please note this will be a global change.
You can refer this community link by Pradeep from SN for the same - how to change 'Invalid reference' error message to... - ServiceNow Community
Kindly mark my answer as helpful and accept solution if it helped you in anyway. This will help me be recognized for the efforts and also move this questions from unsolved to solved bucket.
