How to populate Requested for in Order Confirmation window in an ATF?

Hi,

I'm new with the ATF module.  I'm now experimenting in personnal devlp instance.  I want to test and simulate what the user would do.  In the case of ordering an Iphone for someone else, he  would fill in the form , click order now and then change the value of "Requested for" in the order confirmation window.  I dont know how to simulate the "change the value of Requested for and then click on Checkout.  I want to do this with steps in ATF without writing a script.  I cant find the way to do it.  Can you help me?

thanks 🙂

Marc

Hi,

you can try to use Custom UI step to detect that confirmation box and try to set the value.

But I doubt this will work as there is no OOB step to set the value

Custom UI test steps

hi,

I tried Custom UI but it doesnt see that window (Order Confirmation) nor its content.  That was confirmed by the ATF Page Inspector.  I cant believe that it's impossible to change the "Requested for" value in this windows in an ATF test.   I sure hope someone will find an anser for me.

Thank you Ankur.

Hi again,

It seems there is something special with that window (Order Confirmation) because Custom Ui steps work fine everywhere else.  I've used them in other pages and it works fine.

Marc
