Reassignment of accepted work items when incident follow up time exceeds

Hello team
In advanced work assignment we need to reassign the accepted work items when incident follow up time exceeds. Is there any way if we can achieve it by using assignment rules or we need to go for custom solution.Please suggest.

How do you see that, process wise? I get an incident assigned to me, do a lot of work on it, but it's complicated, so the follow up time exceeds and someone else takes over?
Why not put simple notifications in place: "You are not doing what you are supposed to do! Reply to INCxxxxx"

Thanks for the response Mark, We got the requirement to achieve this to re-offer the work items when follow time is crossed

You could create a flow that waits for the time to pass and as soon as it does, reassigns it. But this sounds like a requirement you need to challenge. People should just be doing their job, not have technical solution if they don't.
