Child Topic Now Showing Up In Mega Menu

Hi all,
I have a child topic `In a disaster` that is showing up on the `emp_taxonomy_topic` page but is not showing up nested in the Mega Menu, even after I logout and clear my cookies and cache.
Any ideas where to look or why this might be happening?

  • Note: For successful sync,
    • Ensure that the SP Menu Items are associated with the portal for which the Advanced Portal navigation record is configured.
    • Ensure that the topics and menu items are active.
    • When you click the Sync Hierarchy button in a topic type navigation menu item, three levels of topics are fetched in the taxonomy.

 

But also, there's one thing not entirely clear from the documentation IMHO, which is that each portal has a taxonomy mapped to it. It is a related list on portal form page. Only if taxonomy is mapped and active, the topics belonging to the taxonomy will be shown on the portal. So, you should also check that the m2m records in this related list are active.

Where is the "Sync Hierarchy button"?

Go to Employee Center > Advanced Portal Navigation, select Employee Center record, and see the Sync Hierarchy button in the Menu Items related list

Apologies for the stupid question but how do I get to that page? I only have bookmarks for the backend and Agent Workspace

Hi @CCSF-Syd ,

You should be able use these steps on the backend: Go to Employee Center > Advanced Portal Navigation, select Employee Center record, and see the Sync Hierarchy button in the Menu Items related list.

Is there a specific part of these steps that is not working for you?
