Trigger Approval for a non role user

We want to trigger approvals for a user who do not have any role 

we want the "my approval widget" to be visible to the end user and they should be able to approve or reject the same either through portal or from email

Hi @prekshaK5903860 ,

Approvals dont work like that. Without proper roles the whole process goes into haywire. Refer how OOB Approval widget and process works. Also refer to this thread https://www.servicenow.com/community/employee-center-forum/how-can-a-user-with-no-role-have-to-acces... .

Sorry you need to have approver_user  role for approving on Service Portal end . And it does have license cost.

 

So other users without this role cannot bypass this process.
