Our HW Asset Database, doesnt appear to be syncing when CI Status is changed.
So when an CI is set to either Non Operation or Operational, the Asset Status doesnt change from In Use to either Retired or In stock.
Our platform providers have stated that this script which is OOB checks if the CI is retired, if not it set's the asset to In Use. So the script doesn't distinguish between operational, non-operational, ready,
So is it expected that to get this working that we would have to carry out paid configuration ?

The statement is correct, but we can't answer the question whether you have to pay for getting this configured. It's just a change to a script. It all depends on your familiarity with the platform and the capabilities of your internal admins.
