I'm trying to determine the best way to show swapped devices without have the HAM Pro swap feature.
One way is to update the incident with the swapped device in the affected CI tab, then it would show both the affected device & swapped device. I would add a tag to those records stating "Swap". I would also update both devices to move the affected device into stockroom (adding the user into the reserved for field), and the swapped device to in use & assigned user.
then once the device is fixed, change everything back, update the incident and close out the incident.
They could always create their own workflow for that would mimic the HAM PRO one.
anyone have another approach, besides telling the client to buy HAM PRO.
