What is the difference between two similar column of asset table?

Hi, all!

After I enabled the EAM, some extra columns were added to the asset table.

Some column names are very similar. I picked up some examples.

Disposal date(disposal_date)

Disposal date(sn_itam_common_disposal_date)

Disposal order number(disposal_order_number)

Disposal order number(sn_itam_common_disposal_order_number)

Disposal vendor(disposal_vendor)

Disposal vendor(sn_itam_common_disposal_vendor)

Last audit date(last_audit_date)

Last audit date(sn_itam_common_last_audit_date)

Last audit state(last_audit_state)

Last audit state(sn_itam_common_last_audit_state)

Lease expiration date(cmn_lease_expiration_date)

Lease expiration date(lease_expiration_date)

Lease term (months)(cmn_lease_term_months)

Lease term (months)(lease_term_months)

Basically, these columns have the same name. So, the purpose of these columns may not be so different.

I'd like to understand the reason similar columns are prepared and the difference.

Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks!

I checked on a lab instance which has EAM enabled and i can see only the following fields in the dictionary for alm_asset among the ones which you mentioned:

Disposal date(sn_itam_common_disposal_date)

Disposal order number(sn_itam_common_disposal_order_number)

Disposal vendor(sn_itam_common_disposal_vendor)

Last audit date(sn_itam_common_last_audit_date)

Last audit state(sn_itam_common_last_audit_state)

Lease expiration date(cmn_lease_expiration_date)

Lease term (months)(cmn_lease_term_months)

i.e. The old column names for each of these are no longer present in the dictionary. So these should be the columns which we are supposed to use when EAM is enabled.

Are you still seeing the old field names also along with these? If that is the case, it is better to raise a hiticket and clarify why it is happening.

Hi, Ashok san,

Thank you for your reply. I checked my lab instance again.

As you can see, now I could find the duplicated columns.

I will ask someone who knows EAM well.

Once I get the beneficial information, I will update you.

Thanks!
