How to change subject title of entry in Employee Center?

I am aware of the Standard Ticket Configuration for Employee Center and have configured this for my tickets in ESC.  However, there is one thing that I cannot change:

We want to change what's in the red box to contain custom information.  Right now, it's pointing to Short Description but we want to choose what info goes into that spot.  How do we change this?

it will always pick short_description and if short_description is empty then it will pick number

it's handled at script level in the widget "Standard Ticket Header"

you will have to customize that widget by cloning it and then adding again to the standard ticket page

This should be able to be done through HR Case Header Configurations. However, I think it could also be a portal issue from what I have seen so far.

 

Scroll through answers - someone was able to, but others had issues.

Configured the HR ticket page header for an HR service but it doesn't overwrite the Title row in ESC 

 

And based on their own documentation:

I could have sworn this was something that could be done simple, as it has been done in the past. But maybe a system error that SN has not corrected yet.
