How to make a field multiline text field on incident form?

I want to create a field called "Problem statement" and it should be multiline text field.. how can i do that? should i use String UTF-8 type? or what else? because there is no direct option of a multiline text available.

Type String, with field max length 256 or more.

Up to 255 it will be single line by default.

Thanks for the solution, @Mark Roethof. When I implemented this, I found that even with a max length of 256, I could store an excess of 1000 characters in the field. Is the multiline property allowing this to happen?
