What is best practice for approvals on an Emergency Change? Is it one approval or two? Should the approval be by a senior leader, CI owner, or change coordinator?

Hi @Mego919

I worked as a change manager and a process lead too. It is tough to say what is a best practice.

But here are few thoughts

- Had minimum 1 approval i.e. ECAB Approval.

- As it is an emergency, I will not recommend to add more approval as it can delay the process.

- If the change is going during the blackout period, and emergency then I prefer to have 1 + 1 means, ECAB + What is best CI owner or Service Owner.

- Also if it compliance changes / then add the other department owner's approval.

These are a few tips but it depends on your business nature.
