Hey all,
I wanted to learn about Now Assist, Gen AI, Agentic AI.  I need a basic to advanced full guidance. What are the skills required to learn? Currently I am working on HRSD. How it is used in HRSD and ITSM? 

Kindly help me with this. I'm confusing about where to start? Please suggest the materials and also let me know if this involved in integrations as well.

Now Assist for IT Service Management (ITSM) Implementer 

 

Also for agentic AI :

Agentic AI Executive Micro-Certification Learning Path 

AI Agents: Configure AI Agents - provides now learning instance for hands on!


Also I had implemented one now assist custom skill, so you can refer that too for hands on :
Now Assist Custom Skill Kit - Update Set Summarizer

Hi @YaminiVelamala,

 

Since you're already working in HRSD, you're actually starting from a good position. My recommendation would be not to jump directly into Agentic AI. First build a strong understanding of ServiceNow AI fundamentals and then move toward advanced concepts.

1. Understand the AI Journey in ServiceNow

A simple progression is:

  • Traditional Automation → Generative AI (Now Assist) → Agentic AI
  • Traditional Automation: Flows, Business Rules, Workflow, and IntegrationHub.

Generative AI (Now Assist): Generates content such as summaries, knowledge articles, and suggested responses.
Agentic AI: Goes beyond content generation and can plan, make decisions, and perform actions across systems.
2. Skills to Learn

For someone from an HRSD background, I would recommend:
