I have a situation where a manager wants his director to be able to review and approve of his knowledge articles before publication in ServiceNow Washington DC version. We don't use ownership groups and would prefer not to. We have the Knowledge Management Advance plugin with versioning and subscriptions. The knowledge base he is working in has an instant publish workflow with many other people working in it. Is there a way to make the director a collaborator or allow him to sign off on the articles within the tool?

@Daniel_Miller Did you try adding him in the review phase as a approver in workflow?

I have not... yet. We have a standard workflow that isn't customized in anyway. It just lets people publish directly in that knowledge base. Would adding the director as an approver mean he would get hit up for approvals for all articles or just the managers?

We ended up making a small adjustment to the current workflow. Added 'if the author is xyz then require manager approval'. Since we already had a means of escalating up to a manager for approval. It isn't ideal, but it is just for the one person. We don't want to add ownership groups for just one request.
