Reporting module converting double spaces to a single space.

We were trying to compare exports to excel with copy/paste data from a report (pivot table).  The actual data has double spaces in some of the records but when looking at the pivot table, the extra space was removed.  Has anyone else seen this before?

EX: Incident has a short description of "This is  an Incident"

Exporting from list view shows in excel "This is  an Incident"

When we create a pivot table groping on short description for the row, it lists "This is an Incident".

We have users that are exporting the data and trying to run compares using these methods but are unable to match due to the extra space being removed.

Never seen this before but yes, this is very odd.

You can also see the same behaviour in a list view.

Even though the short description has 3 spaces in between the words spaces and here, the list displays as if there is just one.

My guess is that the same behaviour applies to the pivot table as well.
