ServiceNow Cloud Insights supports Google Cloud Platform

Cloud computing and services offer their many benefits, yet managing our multi-cloud environments can get complex, especially when using multiple tools across multiple teams. Managing cloud costs is a growing priority for today’s modern business with more and more of our workloads moving to the cloud. As cloud complexity grows, so does the need for a centralized solution to manage and optimize our cloud resources.

ServiceNow is excited to announce that Cloud Insights, available with ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) Enterprise, now supports Google Cloud Platform—an addition to AWS and Azure already supported in previous releases. Customers now have a centralized way to manage cloud costs and take actions for their hybrid cloud environments covering GCP, AWS, and Azure. If you’re already managing your AWS and Azure environments with Cloud Insights, you will now be able to leverage those same capabilities and features for GCP to:

  • Gain an accurate, detailed view of your cloud spend and usage
  • Reduce costs by rightsizing your cloud infrastructure
  • Identify and act on unused or underutilized cloud resources
  • Set business hours and operate cloud resources only when needed
  • Create in-depth budgets to better monitor usage trends, forecast spend, and stay on track throughout the year
  • Optimize spend and usage of reserved instances and committed use plans

Oracle verifies ServiceNow as third-party tool vendor for Oracle Database, Database Options, and Oracle Fusion Middleware

ServiceNow has been verified by Oracle as a third-party tool vendor for Oracle Database, Database Options, and Oracle Fusion Middleware. Starting in the Now Platform Rome release, Oracle’s verification covers both ServiceNow Discovery and ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM).

Oracle will accept data from ServiceNow as an alternative to installing Oracle Global Licensing and Advisory Services (GLAS) measurement tools. ServiceNow coverage of Oracle products spans wider than the scope of the GLAS-verified tools program.
