Hi All, we have several products that are non licensable - Microsoft (eg Access Patch, OneNote Patch, WordPatch) that have appeared as non-compliant in the SAM Workspace and also the License Compliance Position Report. The entries have a symbol - a square with a diagonal line through it. How do we remove them from reporting as they are showing as non-compliant. Xanadu.
thanks

Hi Dennis
We raised a HI ticket and the initial response was to run a reconcilition. As this had been done many times I knew wouldn't resolve the issue. We resolved it internally by amending the Discovery Model manually. We reverted the Normalisation and deleted the SW Model entry in the Discovery Model that had been pointing to the SW Model which had been auto created for the Products with a license type patch and this resolved the issue. Hi @Karen54,
the "square icon" is a new way to visualize missing entitlements for this licensable product.
By default, each of the mentioned office products needs to be licensed with a standalone or bundle/suite license e.g., M365 and so on - this is the main reason why these single office products appears as not compliant. The root cause can be, a server/computer with one of these components installed, but not linked to an existing office license (per device or per assigned user). Please check each of the mentioned records and the linked devices if the software is approved to be installed on the device or used by the assigned user.
Options to mitigate the risk can be a) software removal b) assign a license c) ignore the installation per "install condition"
Best, Dennis

Hi, A field exists within the software tables, as detailed in the table below. Both tables contain the fields 'unlicensed_Install' and 'unlicensed_subscription':
i. cmdb_sam_sw_install
ii. samp_sw_subscription
These fields are instrumental in determining the compliance or non-compliance status of the software.
Suresh.

My question relates to installs of PATCHES being counted towards compliance: Access Patch, OneNote Patch, WordPatch. Neither response addresses this. Thanks
