We are using SAM Pro.
If the contract is renewed after registering for the entitlement, update the entitlement's start date/end date/purchase right. The Active right is not equal to the Purchase right, but is calculated as the sum of the previous data + newly purchased rights.
I looked it up and I think it's because of BR(BR : verify and set active rights).
What is the pupose of this BR?
Why is purchased right and active right different or what logic is it? I don't understand why Active right is calculated like that.
Please explain so that the logic can be understood.

Hi @jinhuis
There have been many discussions in the forum about how to deal with renewals and maintenance extensions in relation to entitlements, and the tenor was always the same:
A new entitlement should be created for each renewal/extension and the old/expired one should be retired . This usually happens automatically due to the end dates. This procedure should also ensure that the correct number of usage rights is always displayed as raised in your case.
Give it a try and let us know if this procedure would fit into your current SAM process
