Trying to create a new "Asset-CI Install Status mapping".
I get this message:
As I see it, I can't add this record since there already is a state and substate for the Asset, but I can't edit the existing one, meaning I can't create my new state.
What do I do?

To avoid this warning "Mapping for Asset state and substate combination already exists.", you need to inactive this Out of the Box business rule (Restrict duplicate Asset state on insert).
After creating a new "Asset-CI Install Status mapping" record, you can make OOB business rule as active (Restrict duplicate Asset state on insert).
This is the Kb article for this problem KB0684597

Hi and thanks for the post.
The thing is that I cant activate or deactivate anything. I certenly don't want do delete anything but it would be nice to deactivate CI statuses we don't use.

hi Henrik
You would need to change the ACL's on that table to allow them to be edited rather than read only. (You need the security admin role to be able to do that).
