Can't create new Asset-CI Install Status mapping

Trying to create a new "Asset-CI Install Status mapping".

I get this message:

As I see it, I can't add this record since there already is a state and substate for the Asset, but I can't edit the existing one, meaning I can't create my new state.

What do I do?

I don't think this in an ACL related issue if you look at the error msg.

I can go to the page and try to create new records (as shown in the screen dump) But the error msg sais that the combination of asset state and sub state is already there.

Changing the ACL to not be read-only would allow you to edit the current one rather than creating a new one.

And also, is there a reason for not being able to uncheck the active checkbox for OOTB mappings?
I really would like to deactivate some of these mappings!

To avoid this warning "Mapping for Asset state and substate combination already exists.", you need to inactive this Out of the Box business rule (Restrict duplicate Asset state on insert).

After creating a new "Asset-CI Install Status mapping" record, you can make OOB business rule as active (Restrict duplicate Asset state on insert).
