Trying to create a new "Asset-CI Install Status mapping".
I get this message:
As I see it, I can't add this record since there already is a state and substate for the Asset, but I can't edit the existing one, meaning I can't create my new state.
What do I do?

To avoid this warning "Mapping for Asset state and substate combination already exists.", you need to inactive this Out of the Box business rule (Restrict duplicate Asset state on insert).
After creating a new "Asset-CI Install Status mapping" record, you can make OOB business rule as active (Restrict duplicate Asset state on insert).
This is the Kb article for this problem KB0684597

I works! Do you know how to set some of the OOTB mappings to not active?
I can only do this on the once I've created. (so there's no mixup if there are more mappings that are simular)

Hi Henrik,
If you want to set OOTB mappings to not active, you need to inactive this Out of the Box ACL ((alm_asset_ci_state_mapping) -- (Operation ---> write)).
Once you uncheck the active checkbox for OOTB mappings, you can mark this ACL ((alm_asset_ci_state_mapping) -- (Operation ---> write)) is active.
Thanks

Thanks for the help. That did the trick!
However I'd really like to know why this is locked down so hard. The description in this ACL rule sais:
"Nobody can edit the 'Out of the box' state mappings"
