Do UI actions work for a request

Im currently testing a UI action in SOW for request and it will not show on the form at all. However if i switch the table on the ui action to incident it appears straight away. Is there a reason?

I have the workspace boxes ticked

@joshmorris you also need to select (at least) one of the Form Link, Form Button, Form Context Menu and/or the same for List view.

 

Form Button is the most visible button - e.g. Update, Save, Delete in the top grey banner,

Form Link is below the form, between it and related tabs,

Form Context Menu is the three bars icon, when clicked you will find it there if set to true.

May I know what was the rootcause and how this was fixed?

I added the ui action to the action bar on sc_request and it started showing
