I'm using my Office 365 account "yourname@yourcompany.com" for SMTP relay.
When I update the From address to be an external domain address like "yourname@gmail.com", emails are not sent. Receiving below error:
If I use the ServiceNow configured SMTP account, this works. How to send emails with From address as external domain using Office 365 SMTP relay ? Also any idea about how ServiceNow's SMTP account works.
Look of email account:

Why is your from address gmail if you have an O365 account? Why not use an Office 365 account as your from address?

You can also log a case with ServiceNow support via Hi to have them look into the error.

Create a case with Servicenow, but they were unable to provide a solution. They stated this is an issue with Microsoft account and needs to be checked with Microsoft Team.

Hi,
You'd need to get with your network folks on this. Are you a network administrator that sets up O365 accounts and knows all the ports and settings and such? If not, please get with them.
Please mark reply as Helpful/Correct, if applicable. Thanks!
