How to change Author for several knowledge articles?

Hi,

I wonder how to change author to several knowledge articles without having to do it one by one? Can this be done without customization? I found how to change author on a single article, by adding the author field to the knowledge form (https://hi.service-now.com/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB0852951).

Let's say I want to change author on 50 articles at once, if said user has quit or changed role in the company. I would presume this is done from the list view but I can't find the option.

Thankful for any suggestions!

Yes, can be done in the list view.

Set the filter to show all articles of that author and then select 'Update All' from the menu:

It will ask to confirm:

find_real_file.png

Just make sure author is on the default form layout and you should see it:

find_real_file.png

You can just ignore the mandatory fields and only change author.

The result:

find_real_file.png

I'm not seeing the "Update All" option nor the "Update Selected". How do you access that menu? I right-clicked on any of the columns and don't see that in any of the drop-down menus.

I don't have it either as a user (even KM Admin). This is all I get.

However, as a platform admin, I do see it:

Bill is right. You need system admin rights to see the options to update multiple records.
The knowledge_admin role doesn't allow it.

Hey, I'm still a newbie in Snow, so could you please let me know how to update the author for a single article? I can't really understand it from the article you've tagged. Thanks in advance!

Hi, does this only work with knowledge articles that are in draft? As an admin, I did not have success updating bulk articles that were already published.
