Hi,
We have a requirement like we need to send notifications from related to Case Management and SLA of cases from 'abc@mail.com'
because our production instance has some other applications like ITSM, changing the existing SMTP mail addresss reflects to other applications

Hi,
If any of my replies thus far have been Helpful, please mark as such.
When they receive that email from the address you specified in the "From" and they click reply...it goes back to your instance email. Not the custom cosmetic from address 🙂
And yes, as I thought this was obvious, you aren't creating a brand new email address when you use this from field, you are spoofing it like an alias and so if needed, you could let your network/email team know this so that they can allow these to pass through (if not already allowed).
You could try it first, see if anyone has any issues, then go from there.
The point of all this, my replies, was to show that your requirements could still be met, without multiple smtp accounts.

Hello,
If you are saying that you'd like to have some notifications say it's from example@example.com, but other notifications remain from instancename@servicenow.com or something to that effect, then it is possible.

Hi Allen, Yes exactly, but only to specific notifications. I don't want to effect other application notifications.
If possible, please let me know how can I configure

Hi,
Sure. So to do this, you simply go to the notification(s) you're wanting to do this on, use Advanced view, and then set the "From" field address on the "What it will contain" tab as appropriate:
I've used this many times in the past to help distinguish between ITSM type notifications and things like ITBM/Project related notifications, etc.
