Is it recommended to customize the cloud cost management workspace?

We have a lot of dashboard/reporting requirement for the cloud cost management workspace users, shall we customize the cloud cost mgmt workspace homepage in UI builder to add those required widget/reporting? Thanks.

Customizing the workspace isn’t as quick or easy, as workspaces are primarily built on UI. It’s best to stick with out-of-the-box (OOTB) first; if that doesn’t work, then consider customization. However, be cautious—too much customization can lead to upgrade issues.

Before you customize:

• Assess all the requirements.

• Can you consolidate the requirements?

• Can you standardize the requirements?

Only after that, proceed with the customization.

Thank you. What kind of customization will lead upgrade issues? If we add a widget/report to the "spend analysis" dashboard in the cloud cost management workspace, will this bring issues during upgrade? Thanks.
