Hi Deborah,
No, there's no cost associated with installing plugins on your PDI.

On a PDI you can install plugins without additional cost.
Keep in mind, you also agree to the Developer T&C (https://www.servicenow.com/terms-of-use.html and potentially others). Ensure working in alignment with those and other T&C as well as your internal company guidelines.
In general - a PDI is just that - a "Personal" Developer Instance.
If helpful or correct, please indicate so!

Hi Deborah,
As others have already replied, there is no cost to install plugin in PDI. However, not all plugins are available in PDI. Especially, plugins that are only available in store and from other companies may not be available for PDI.
Also, remember that once the plugin is installed, it can not be uninstalled. PDI can be released and a nd a new instance can, however, be requested without any plugin that was installed in earlier instance.
Plugins that are listed from the following steps are available in PDI.
- Go to Developer page.
https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do - Select "Activate Plugin"
- Click on "Activate" next to the plugin to install.
