Hello! I am currently looking to create a pie chart that is grouped by the Subject Action Taken 1, Subject Action Taken 2, and Subject Action Taken 3 fields combined (all custom fields). The choice options are the same for each field and I would like to combine the data from the three columns into one reportable field, so that I can see the totals of each selection together rather than on separate charts.
Example:
Case #1
Subject Action Taken 1: Verbal
Subject Action Taken 2: Written
Subject Action Taken 3: Verbal
Case #2
Subject Action Taken 1: Written
Subject Action Taken 2: Verbal
Subject Action Taken 3: Verbal
Currently, my results would just show the following:
Subject Action Taken 1 - Verbal (1), Written (1)
Subject Action Taken 2 - Verbal (1), Written (1)
Subject Action Taken 3 - Verbal (2)
I would like it to have it be:
Subject Action Taken - Verbal (4), Written (2)
Attaching a picture of how the report looks currently, which uses the Group By option, but it treats them as separate graphs for each field.
Solved! Go to Solution.

I dont think you can achieve it using pie chart.
I would suggest creating one bar chart with Filter Subject Action Taken 1 or Subject Action Taken 2 or Subject Action Taken 3 is 'Verbal'.
Then use Multiple Dataset to create another report toFilter Subject Action Taken 1 or Subject Action Taken 2 or Subject Action Taken 3 is 'Written'.
Please mark this response as correct or helpful if it assisted you with your question.

Hi @Alex Berlin
I tried this in PDI but no success and i think it is not possible other than by multi-dataset.

Hi @Alex Berlin ,
If I understand you correctly, you would like to show both "Subject 1 Action taken", "Subject 2 Action taken", and "Subject 3 Action taken" together - is this correct? If yes, then it's not possible in a pie chart.
Instead I would recommend you to either create a column chart where you add the three different dataset based on "Subject X Action taken". https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/vancouver-now-intelligence/page/use/reporting/task/t_AddAnAdditio.... By doing this, you can show the "Subject 1 Action taken", "Subject 2 Action taken", and "Subject 3 Action taken" in same chart.
Alternative, you also have the possibility to utilize performance analytics, where you can club it all together in a pie chart.
