How to add "Cancel button" after submitting a form in the portal ?

Hello dear community,

I created a catalog item in order to let users submit their request from the portal, and I want to add a cancel button that will display after submitting the form and when the request is still not approved, in order to let users cancel their request : 

But I am not good at scripting, can someone please show me how to do it ?

I created this button : but I don't know how to place it in the form after submitting it + I don't know hwo to add the action "update state to cancel" within the button
