Scripting Governance Tool

Manage user permissions for scripting on the platform from the scripting governance tool.

The Scripting Governance Tool helps you review user scripting governance metrics and manage the Conditional Script Writer Group. This group grants scripting permissions to its members via the snc_required_script_writer_permission role. Users are added to the group by either an automated assignment or manual configuration. You can manage both of these settings from the Scripting Governance Tool.

To access the Scripting Governance Tool navigate to All > System Security > Scripting Governance Tool.

You must have elevated privileges to access the Scripting Governance Tool. See Elevate to a privileged role.

Users in Conditional Script Writer Group

Displays the number of writers in the Conditional Script Writer group. These users are granted the snc_required_script_writer_permission until removed from the group.

Auto-assignment

Auto-assignment assigns new users to the conditional script writer group. Select the slider to activate or deactivate auto-assignment

Scan for users who have scripted

Scans for users in the conditional script writer group who have modified records containing script fields such as business rules, script includes, or client scripts. When running the scan, you can define a time period for which the scan checks. Select the Scan for scripting users button and fill out the short form to run or schedule a scan.

Manual Configuration

You can manually select users that stay in the Conditional Script Writer group. Select the Manage scripting access button and enter the users into the text field.

注:

Users that aren’t selected to be part of the Conditional Scripting Writer group are scheduled for removal from the group.

Groups containing a scripting role

Displays the number of groups that contain a scripting role. By default the Conditional Script Writer Group has a scripting role.

Roles containing a scripting role

Displays the number of roles that contain a scripting role

View scans

An expandable table containing the users and groups that are using scripting. Populated by the Scan for scripting users button.

View removals

An expandable table containing the scheduled bulk changes to scripting permissions. This table is populated by either the Scan for scripting users widget, or using Manual Configuration.
