Force a password reset

Force a user to reset their password.

Pourquoi et quand exécuter cette tâche

An Administrator can force another user to change their password on that user's next log into the Console.

Procédure

1. In the Console, navigate to the Users page.
2. You can force a user to change their password by clicking on the green key.
3. Refresh the page.
   The green key changes color to an orange key with backwards slash through it. This means the user needs to change their password the next time they log in. The key image does not display once the user changes their password and logs back in.
   
   

   The next time the user logs into the console, the Change Password window opens.
   
   
4. Enter a new password and then enter it again to confirm it.
   For guidance, the Change Password window displays the Password Strength.
5. Select Change Password.
