Configuring Next Experience with Theme Builder

Manage, edit, and implement Next Experience themes in an easy, efficient, and upgrade-safe way so you can reflect your company's brand.

Theme Builder doesn't currently support variants, such as dark themes. However, starting with the Vancouver release, Theme Builder supports the creation and editing of alternate color palettes. For more information, see Core styles, colors, variants, and alternate color palettes.

Note:

Before you can use Theme Builder, you must first download it from the ServiceNow® Store. When you have completed the download, you may need to clear your local cache before it appears on your instance.

Configure Next Experience with Theme Builder using the following.

• Create a theme
• Edit and preview a theme
• Apply a theme

Theme Builder includes an option you can use to provide feedback to ServiceNow® about your experience with the current product. All feedback is reviewed and may be used to improve the product. The feedback option is located on the Theme Builder home page.

• Create a theme with Theme Builder
  Create a theme record for your web or mobile experiences by using the Home view in the Theme Builder application.
• Manage or edit a theme with Theme Builder
  You can customize and manage your theme and styling in a time and cost efficient way. New themes can be applied to web only, mobile only, or both web and mobile implementations of your instance.
• Apply your theme with Theme Builder
  Apply a theme to your instance to reflect your company's brand in web and/or mobile instances. Themes applied in Theme Builder override any previously applied themes.
• Theme Builder and domain separation
  Domain separation enables you to separate data, processes, and administrative tasks into logical groupings called domains. You can control several aspects of this separation, including which users can see and access data.
