  • Service desk apps enable users to request things, such as IT equipment or travel bookings, and track their fulfillment.

    Service desk apps are usually accessed through a portal, such as Employee Center, or a service catalog.

    Parts of a service desk app

    Service desk apps contain the following parts:
    • Forms that collect information from the user about the request
    • Automated playbooks, such as routing approval when a request is made or sending automatic email notifications
    • List configurations for a workspace where fulfillers can work on requests, where they can do the following:
      • Communicate with the requester and store messages in the record, which is accessed in the workspace
      • Save attachments related to the request
      • Share notes with other employees in different departments when fulfilling a request
      • See automation results
