Hi community!
I'm using ServiceNow Yokohama version it's come to my attention that CSDM Lifecycle stage and stage status are not automatically updating for newly created CIs which involves classes like databases, business apps.
I'm aware that enabling the property csdm.lifecycle.sync.between.ci.and.asset.activated could lead to the sync happening between CIs and assets and could be problematic for CIs without assets. Is there any solution to fix this?

Hi @johnantony26683 ,
In short —> Is there any solution to fix this?
- Not yet. This behavior is a known limitation and affects all ServiceNow releases starting from Xanadu onward.
Cause:
The root cause is the system property "Product Instance Sync (csdm.lifecycle.sync.between.ci.and.asset.activated)" being enabled. This property enforces synchronization between the lifecycle states of CIs and their associated Assets, which primarily affects CIs that are linked to assets, thus excluding non-asset CIs from updates.
Resolution:
To resolve this issue, disable the "Product Instance Sync (csdm.lifecycle.sync.between.ci.and.asset.activated)" system property. Disabling this property allows the lifecycle migration process to include logical CIs that do not have asset associations, effectively aligning the behavior with pre-Xanadu CSDM implementations.
