I am coming from ITSM background, where I always thought "customer" flag on cmn_company indicate owning/operating/sister companies.
Now that I am learning CSM, I realize same flag is used to represent external customer company.
What am I missing? how would you differentiate operating/owning company to customer company at cmn_company table if flag is same?
Thanks
Anand

Hi @anand9
In CSM, there is logic to create Company when you create record in customer account table. Also it would be used when you have domain separated instance to segregate users based on company.
In ITSM "customer" flag on cmn_company indicate owning or operating of company. Hence that's the only difference we have found. For more details we have gone through CSM part.

Hi, thanks for replying. I understand the concept of customer account, however I wanted to understand from cmn_company level - seems like there is no clear definition of customer flag.
This probably means for reporting I have to rely on Account table record, or "Class" field on cmn_company record along with customer flag.
