Best Practices for Projects

1. We currently have several projects within the same team and are trying to determine what the best practice is for creating boards within the same space. Is best practice that boards be created for each project? And if so, can stories from all team project boards feed into a single board?

2. Our goal is to integrate CWM with EAP under SPM as we currently use the project workspace for tracking. Do we have the ability to create a CWM from a project record and link it to the project record? What about linking it to SPM? How does a single project integrate across all 3 modules

Thanks!

Hello @WaseemIqnaibi ,

Boards in ServiceNow Agile are typically aligned to teams rather than individual projects. A single team board can display stories from multiple projects as long as they belong to the same team or backlog, which is considered best practice for scaled Agile execution.

Instead of creating separate boards for each project like Project A => Board A, Project B => Board B, and Project C => Board C, the recommended approach is to create one team-based board, for example Team XYZ Board, where the team can manage all their work in one place. In this setup, the Team Alpha board will include stories coming from multiple projects such as Project A, Project B, and Project C.

If this helps you then mark it as helpful and accept as solution.

Aditya

Thanks Aditya,

If we connect projects to the main board, can we create and link stories for that same project from the CWM module?

Hello @WaseemIqnaibi ,

if your project is connected to the main board, you can create and link stories from the CWM (Collaborative Work Management) module, but it depends on how the workspace and tables are configured.
