Asset bundles in ITSM AM?

Hello Community,

Can I use Asset Bundles with just basic Asset Management (part of ITSM) or I need HAM Pro for that? 

I have been experimenting with my PDI and although I can create Model Bundles, when adding a new Asset via Assets > Portfolios > All Assets > New I can only create specific subclasses (Hardware, Facility...). I have modified the Interceptor to allow me to create a "basic" Asset (here label says "Bundle" but it really redirects to alm_asset.do):

With that I was able to select the bundled model and create a "bundle" and the outcome is the main asset in the bundle with the details provided + all other bundle components as individual Assets, with Parent referencing the main Asset. 

This seems different from what I can read in SN Docs for HAM on Asset Bundles (like Manage asset bundles from your inventory) where the Asset of type "Bundle" seems to exist...

Am I allowed to use Asset Bundles in basic AM without HAM, is the way it works (with a bit of customization) above correct and will I have issues if upgraded to HAM Pro with AMDB built that way?

Bundle functionality will be enable once you enable HAM Pro, with ITSM you will get below.
