CMDB and Hardware status?

hi. i have a catalog with a flow that assigns a notebook to employees. the flow will update the notebook status to operational in CMDB and state to In Use in hardware table. but i found that by updating state to In Use will update CMDB ci to Non-operational. 

any explanation on this?

Assuming you mean the alm_hardware table and the cmdb_ci_computer table, I just tested it on my OOB instance: Operational status on CI doesn't change when setting the Asset to 'in use'. You either need to check your custom logic or give more details on the exact tables you are looking at.
