Duplicate Tasks being created for CIs that are not Duplicates.

I have reviewed IRE which runs through SN/SN Type, SN, MAC Address/Name.  None of these are duplicates on the two CI records identified. I have also reviewed the history audit of each CI, and the information has never been a duplicate. So, how do I find out what the trigger is for these CIs coming up as duplicates ?

Hi- In each task, it calls out what field(s) it caught creating the dup task.   I'm not saying its working right 🙂 but each task should have a clue (via the field name) that caused it to create dup-task.  I've delt with a lot of dup issues too and sometimes, running the dup task remediator for the given task might clear it up... assuming there is no true dup anymore.   But after remediating, if brand new dup tasks are created I'd look closely at the fields its complaining about vs. each of the CI's it catches.

Hope that helps a bit?
