I've got a bit of a head scratcher. We would like to be able to run reports on any table extended off of task, filtering by fiscal week. We have our FY weeks already in our instance in System Definition > Fiscal Periods and I would like to be able to leverage those but I'm not opposed to doing something else. I created a faux image of what I would really like to be able to do but I don't know if this is even possible:
The problem seems to be the operator, everything I read seems to indicate that it's not possible to create a new operator. I have looked at trying to use script includes and a dynamic filter but that doesn't seem to be a good solution to this problem either.
I have an idea on how to make this work by adding two fields to the task table; Created in Fiscal and Closed in Fiscal, then setting up some business rules that would look at the created date and the closed date and record the corresponding fiscal week in the record. But I think that is a bit laborious and not the most elegant solution.
If anyone has a suggestion on how to make this work I would love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you!

Has anyone had success with reporting by fiscal calendar per the above question?

Hi Guys,
I ran into the same issue and contacted SN directly about this. First and foremost, there is an enhancement request in the works for this (FTASK33977), but no timeline on when we can expect it to become available. If you create a fiscal calendar, then the "fiscal" option appears in the date filtering functions of the reports (see attachment). However, this doesn't really address my, and I assume your, main sticking point, which is the display of actual company fiscal quarters and months in graphs and charts. I'm going to keep looking at options internally to see if there's anything more we can do about this, even with a bit of development and will likely report back here if I manage to come up with any interesting alternatives.
cheers!

Hey everyone, so, quick follow up on this after further communications with ServiceNow: FTASK33977 was apparently delivered within London. I've been pointed to the following release notes and if you search for the word "fiscal" on this page, you'll come across the following entry:
Calendars and schedules | Starting with the London release, the Fiscal calendar is a platform feature and is no longer dependent on Financial Management. |
I am currently in the process of upgrading my developper instance to try this out and will report back once I've had some results.

Just a quick update, while I'm still on the topic: I can't say I've really seen a difference in either London OR Madrid so far. I am currently in talks with our local SN people to get to the bottom of this. I should have more information in the coming days. stay tuned!
