Fiscal calendar reporting throughout the instance...

I've got a bit of a head scratcher.   We would like to be able to run reports on any table extended off of task, filtering by fiscal week.   We have our FY weeks already in our instance in System Definition > Fiscal Periods and I would like to be able to leverage those but I'm not opposed to doing something else.   I created a faux image of what I would really like to be able to do but I don't know if this is even possible:

The problem seems to be the operator, everything I read seems to indicate that it's not possible to create a new operator.   I have looked at trying to use script includes and a dynamic filter but that doesn't seem to be a good solution to this problem either.

I have an idea on how to make this work by adding two fields to the task table; Created in Fiscal and Closed in Fiscal, then setting up some business rules that would look at the created date and the closed date and record the corresponding fiscal week in the record.   But I think that is a bit laborious and not the most elegant solution.

If anyone has a suggestion on how to make this work I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you!

Ok, everyone, got final word from my local servicenow technical contacts: If the plugin is activated, you can FILTER on fiscal dates in reports but you cannot display those references in the report, those labels will remain calendar periods. The only recourse we seem to have is submitting an enhancement request through the HI portal. I highly recommend you do this since the more of us request it, the more likely it is to get done. There also doesn't seem to be a way to upvote other people's enhancement requests since the author is the only one who can view them. All the more reason to submit your own. (Might I even suggest that, if you have several Hi users registered, there is no reason that each of them can't submit their own, hence, adding that much more weight). Hope it helps.

I'm just here to save others time.  You can report on fiscal stuff.  You'll need the plugin "Fiscal Calendars" enabled.  Docs: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/orlando-platform-administration/page/product/it-finance/concept/c...

You'll need to generate your periods (see link above).

You'll need to pair the fiscal types w/the packages per this KB: https://hi.service-now.com/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB0791792

Thanks for chiming in, Jace. The fiscal calendar plugin seems to have evolved somewhat but it's still not possible to use them as references within any kind of time series report. I did find the following post commented on by a ServiceNow software engineering that is apaprently referrning to SN's intention of providing that capability. I've replied in the hopes of getting more info, like a timeline, or any way to upvote the priority of the feature's development. thanks!

yea, I suppose I could have been clearer.  Everytime I'm asked about this, I end up digging and finding that I just need to map the packages.

Stinks it doesn't work the way you want/need yet.

I've run into a very similar issue where I've had to add multiple packages to the Calendars for Package section of Business Calendars in order for the Fiscal options to be available in reports.

However, I'm now needing to run reports on the "Task" table but it doesn't appear to be included in any package. I'm sure there are other tables that are also not included in packages to run reports on that need this.

Any help is appreciated.
