I have a requirement to understand the logic of having multiple ip addresses that are related to a CI, to be populated in cmdb_ci_ip_address table?
for eg : I am looking for a valid reason why should i keep 6 IPs for a single CI in this table ( in a scenario, if a PC is connected to network, its ip will be updated in this table which is actually a dynamic IP.
Would you please help me understand the logic that could be used to clean up the ip address table?
I checked the autoflush table which is created for ip address table, it only deletes the data where install status is absentand the aging is 30 days( which is not useful in my case since its only bringing 60 records.) I also want to understand the logic of install status on ip address table. how is it managed?
