Number of INC ticket opened vs. closed by month

I am trying to write a report that will show the number of tickets opened vs. closed by month. I have a report that shows number of tickets opened each month and another that shows number of tickets closed each month. Is there a way to combine these and show them side by side?

Hi Trisha,

Check out the free Performance Analytics indicators/dashboards you get. Opened vs. closed incidents is one of the OOB indicators. It will give you the month-over-month (or whatever timescale you want) over time. It's what PA is best at and since opened vs. closed incidents is available OOB, there you go!

The catch is you need to activate the collectors to watch for that date. You can run a historical collector to get the old data indexed if my PA training isn't too rusty.

I have looked for this and do not see it? I am not sure why I do not see it. I only see the individual reports, not the combined report.

Peformance Analytis is under the Performance Analytics menu option. See the link I included above for more information on how to get started. If you are doing "data over time", this is your best plan for in-platform analytics.

I can't find this OOB Perf analytic report. Is it named something else besides "Opened vs. closed incidents" ?
